FULFILLING ONGOING MOC IN FPRS® REQUIREMENTS: N/A

What Does This Mean:

The ABFPRS’s Maintenance of Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery® program encourages surgeons to complete a comprehensive set of standards designed to help them maintain high professional standing, participate regularly in continuing medical education, remain current in critical knowledge areas, and perform well in their surgical practices. The program validates applicants’ efforts to meet these standards through a rigorous process of peer review and examination. All ABFPRS diplomates are encouraged to participate in the MOC in FPRS® program on a voluntary basis; however, diplomates who were certified prior to 2001 are not required to participate as their certificates have lifetime validity. Those who were certified 2001or later must complete MOC in FPRS® requirements.
